HISTORIC BUILDINGS
The practice has specialized in historic building work for many years.
Projects have been across a wide range of building types between
stucco urban terraces and rural mansions; education buildings and
churches.
They range from 12th Century Grade 1, through Mediaeval,
Baroque & Victorian, to 20th Century Modern Movement. |

Robert Shaw is the Quinquennial Inspector (QI) for a number of
churches in the Dioceses of London, Guildford, Southwark and Truro. In addition he works
of alteration and restoration projects on a number of other churches.
Robert Shaw is in his second term of appointment to the London
Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches (DAC).
Recent successful conservation work includes restoration of a Grade 2* Listed house in Kensington, the complete restoration of the collapsed ceiling in a Grade 2 Listed Regency church in Kensington and major internal alterations to a Grade 1 Listed mediaeval church in Linconshire.
The practice has undertaken a number of detailed studies, both historic assessments of buildings and feasibility reports for alternative uses. |
